I mentioned awhile back that I put myself on a book diet in anticipation of repatriating to the U. S. of A. Books = weight. Weight = money. I've also mentioned that I'm more of a pattern ho than a yarn ho. So, when I caught wind of the Knit Picks book sale, my palms started to sweat.

My mom's birthday is later this month, and I've been thinking of sending her "Mason Dixon Knitting" for awhile. I think she'd get a kick out of knitting things other than sweaters, especially deep in the heart of Texas. I also want a copy so I can knit cushy bath mats and wash rags.
So, why don't I just send two copies to my parents' house? They can send my copy to me when I move back. That's a great idea! What? Free shipping if you order $45 or more? Obviously, I need to order a few more! The 'rents won't mind. What else do they do with my room when I'm not there?

I see so many drool-worthy patterns from "Vintage Socks" and "Favorite Socks" that I just had to have those. I'm also keen to try some stranded patterns, so "Folk Socks" was a good find. Now I can get the "Stitchionary" here in Holland for about 35EUR. That's like more than $40! Forget about it. So, all in all this seems like a good haul.
However, the sale is still raging and 40% off is a lot. And I keep thinking that I should stock up on a few more "technique books." What are your favorites?
